I had painted a heart
        out of a broken brush.
My strokes were wild,
        slant, straight, and
                                    ~curve.
It was a masterpiece
        that I colorfully assume.
Different hues spread
        all over the canvass ---
Green
Red
Tequila
Kiss
         --- that was seen thru your
Skin; bones;
And your beautiful soul.
You were a work of art.
No. We were.
