I can feel my soul awakening Bursting new life like the budding trees in spring Anxious to grow again For it was dormant in the desolate winter of my dark past Hiding within this shell of a body Almost lifeless But I can feel it now The warmth of the sun kisses my skin With a promise of a new beginning Caressing my bones with a reminder that I have withstood the blizzards of time Though, Not unscathed I must push forth and regrow the life I once knew All with the knowledge of what the darkness holds And I can feel it This time I will bloom with a fierceness of life in all of its beautiful glory.
