My Words
My words go with me everyday.
My words can laugh and run and play.
My words can shout or sing a song.
My words can be short or very long.
My words can be angry and sometimes mad.
My words can be lonely and very sad.
My words can shine and be very bright.
My words can be still like a cold dark night.
My words can soar like a bird in the air.
My words can hug like a big warm bear.
My words can dance like a ballarinaβs toes.
My words can balance on the end of my nose.
My words can squirm and twist and wiggle.
My words can sometimes make me giggle.
My words can grow like a beautiful flower.
My words can last for one whole hour.
My words can be sticky like jam on toast.
My words can be scary like a groaning ghost.
My words can be forever like the big blue sky.
My words can flicker like a firefly.
My words can clap and celebrate.
My words are mine to build and create.
My words can be many or they can be few.
But most of all,
My words are a gift from me to you.
