A true crime
Is shutting someone out
That only wants in

To be a part
Of your madness and misery
That accepts you
In your current shape
Recognizing who you really are
Beyond your broken state

It's easy to shut someone out
And keep your distance
Locked away only with yourself
It's much safer
When there isn't anything to lose

A true crime
Is denying someone that chance
To help you heal
So you don't have to go it alone
Just because you are afraid

When fear dictates your life
You cease to live
