I am but a shadow
I exist on the edge of light
And dark
Get too close and I disappear
Silently I await
Moving swiftly only to the beat of my own heart

I am haunted by ghosts that have lived in my past
I am bound by the shackels of the darkness
When will I be released?
I am constantly following a being
That is no longer me...

I am but a soul
Stuck in the shadows
Dear self...hear my cry
Let me in
Before we are both destroyed
