i remember when i used to glow,
i was an angel shining in divine light.
i didn't see your horns, i didn't know
that you'd turn dark what was once bright.

you walked into my life disguised as a saint,
but inside, the demons stirred.
it was my mistake, i didn't practice restraint,
and you hooked me with every word.

you plucked my feathers one by one
and i didn't notice until they were all gone.
until i got hurt, it was just all fun
and gone you were, by the dawn.

you're a feather collector, and i didn't know
you show up just to rip the light out of angels
how could you be so cruel? so low?
you took mine, and turned yourself into an archangel.
