Late last summer I met a man,
Wheelchair bound from tragedy,
I asked him about his life's strategy,
He simply replied he didn't have one,
But his words remained "I HAVE WON!"

He told me how he came to be in the state he was in,
He told me of a car accident he was in.
He said, "In a car accident only the car wrecks",
I guessed that was why they called it a car wreck,
He said "You aren't handicapped if your soul stands *****,
If your heart and soul stays strong, it's not cause and effect,
It is simply a matter of standing back up, soul wise".
