Tell me what’s the nexus
Of their sit down for breakfast
Or what the full context is
And who picks up the check
The Reverend I suspect
Likes to leave them all perplexed
Was the breakfast an endorsement
Or a not so subtle hint

What does it all mean
When a candidate is seen
Making peachy keen
With an erstwhile faker
Now a recognized king maker
He will talk with any taker
So where does this leave us
In the clouds or in the dust

Politics makes strange bedfellows
Listen to him as he bellows
Then hypnotizes and he mellows
His waiting audience
Who are trying to make sense
But are caught up in the suspense
Does he do it for the greater good
Or because he knows he could

Guess he’s putting them on notice
Before they can become POTUS
Or even stop to quote us
He reserves the right to see
What’s in it for you and me
Leaving them with a. “We’ll see.”
So you really can’t read nothing
If you don’t know when he’s bluffing
