SO IT DIDN'T GO YOUR WAY
By: Cedric McClester
So it didn’t,
Go your way
You got sacked
But that’s okay
Better luck
Another day
It’s part of
The game you play
Unfortunately
You didn’t get
A victory
Because it wasn’t
Meant to be
Fate interdicted
Don’t you see
Although you were
The odds on favorite
It’s too bad
You never made it
We lost the bet
And then we paid it
You did your best
But you got faded
Even though
They done you bad
Ain’t no sense
In getting mad
A better defense
Those guys had
It’s no wonder
Why they’re glad
