And suddenly, I felt the stares heavy on me.
Eyes snapping and pinching into my bare skin,
Gazes bearing marble-weight,
Boring into my little black dress like eternity.

*** in the air, dreams in my exhales
Flashes of a naked me as my drinks fall on their tab -
As I love my angel wings away
One feather at a time.
