Questioning
the reason for the madness
The world keeps spinning
but we’re frozen in silence
And every day we scream
“We want to end this game!”
But the higher-ups don’t listen,
they don’t know our name
And so I’m standing here,
surrounded by the flames
Wondering why I still bother
playing all these games
All around me, the voices cry
We’re still waiting for the day
That the flames all die
But the fire cannot die,
because then out lives would end
And it’s not that easy
to begin again.
