Years pass by
And our timing... still off
As one door opens, I cross through
The next one closes as soon as I walk towards you

Sitting along the other side
Arms around my knees up to my chin
I can only listen to the thoughts in my mind

Why is our timing not on point
Every single time
But yet we still keep knocking
Each wrong time

What's good for you
Is bad for me
A never ending struggle
The blind could only see

Never alone by chance
Nobody's home
Always consumed in the moment
Still searching in roam

Taken by surprise
In every situation
Finding out
The timing is still not right.

Will we ever be in sync?
Life has a funny way of showing you how timing is everything.
