Dec 2015
The crust barely give us enough
Brown and rocky stuff
To recall histories long removed
From where we stand

But with steady hands
Better men come working
Sifting and shifting
Through layers upon layers
Carefully dusting dear artifacts
To uncover forgotten facts

Till the dullness of ignorance cracks
Letting deep historical truths
Trickle through to me and you

What a grand thing for a human to do
