They all wait with bated breath
For the one who's most unstable
They all scan with eyes of death
For the one who's gone dim

Six hundred light years away
Could be the next one
Could be tomorrow or a million years
A second moon or a second sun

The stage has been set
We're in for another drama
Crane your neck up to the sky

What we need is vanishing here
So we'll extract from up there
We all need space to breathe

So here it comes
Creating something heavy
Creating a spectrum of fire
Read it like a book
Read it like a black hole
Read it like a barcode
Of rainbows on your soul

Crumbling like a deck of cards
Exploding like a giant's heart
Dying stars do not go quietly

Fifteen seconds every hundred years
To make the decorations
For your ears

Glowing ever red
It bends and reflects
We bend and reflect
Read it like a book
Read it like a black hole
Read it like a barcode
Of rainbows on your soul

You left us in pain
But next time you'll remain
Tied to the chord
Folding in on yourself

No need to enter the void
No need to enter the grave
You'll rebound as a toy
In the mystery child's play
