I was advised by a learned friend
' Live life logically'
I shuddered and thought:
This is not for me

Every situation would then become
A reasoning process: the pros and cons I should consider
Examine every detail lest I regret
Would I have the time? I wonder

'Logic makes your life good', he did add
' You will succeed beyond measure'
He was a professor of science
But his advice I didn't treasure.

See me walking in the green field
   Loitering by the quiet river-side
Hear me singing a song at a far corner
   I follow my heart---by logic I don't abide
