I tremble each time someone passes through me
A shudder for every gaze that burns right past

My voice is that ringing in your ears
when it is all too quiet
The imaginative chirping
when it is all too awkward

My words are the spaces in between yours...
Empty.
Unheeded.

I look at my shadow as it looks back at me
My reflection looks away.

I look behind me as I walk
Wondering if I left footprints
Knowing that I weigh nothing more
than a shrug off your shoulders
