Restless unlike the owl I need sleep unlike my neighbours Eyes heavy unlike the air around me Counting sheep like a shepherd Sleepless similes get it right once in a while unlike left My thoughts escape me unlike the words in my mouth. Will they be quiet? It would be unlike them.
Things start to go wrong when you're tired. My mind often wanders to the oddest places of thought. I wonder what the opposite of a simile is. What wierd things would similes do if they were sleepless? What will I think of all this when I do eventually sleep and wake to read it?
