I looked up at the high mountain
I wondered how I was going to climb
The mind was willing, but in this case, the legs were weak
Suddenly the Lord’s voice spoke out and asked, “What is it that you seek?”
I responded, “I must climb this mountain”
Lord’s response, “That is a big task for a little one”
But I am the Lord God and it shall be done
I carefully climbed until I reached the top
At various times I had to catch my breath and stop
Yet I continued on thereafter
That mountain climb was a must
But have the Lord’s encouraging blessings being an added plus
The more I climbed the higher I got
But when greatness comes so does the Devil’s plot
Suddenly a big rock began to come down in aiming for me to hit the ground
Immediately the rock swayed around me, but it was thee that was watching over me
The promise of the Lord, I made it to the top of that mountain
Victory being in assurance and endurance
Yet the Lord having total influence
A hand extended from Heaven and shook my hand
A servant of God being his caravan
Blessings being victory with the uphill climb
Struggles in thought with faith captivating in blessings sought.
