Kings Sorrow
With frosty breath the king did sigh
And wiped a tear from his eye
Bending forward he asked of death
Why did he come and take her breath
The castle walls were bathed in frost
And ice clung to his regal gown
Numbness feel upon his brow
As death just smiled at him
Then death did speak and told the king
She was a precious thing
That he did hold in his icy grasp
Forever more is only love
The kings heart slowed right down
And tears feel upon his royal gown
A sound he could not emit
To show to death his sorrow within
And with thus smile across his face
Death then said I will leave this place
For I have a true love now
And you my sir will forever howl
