There is a  man at his typewriter
with tobacco product in his mouth
and between his fingers I don't
Know who taught him that plan

He wants to write the next Superman
But, Luther Corp. won't let him
Tess Mercer is at the helm
I'm sorry I wrote down those words

Now there is nothing left but trouble
So that Clark can serve a purpose
For what else would he be if not for his adversaries

We teach our children vigilance
Then wonder why they use it
This push and shoving has to stop
Before we all misuse it

Now he wants to write a love story
About the love that was served
During all those secret wars he shared

When all the love was still there
Before Invasion
And all the feelings that were there

And he holds his enemy in his arms
And embraces her, Compromises and Shares
Looks like a new girl to fly in the air
a new girl to fly in the air
