An Icicle Lies Dripping
You can glisten with a sharp edge
But remain untrue to your pledge
Frozen with a soul of cold hollow
Leaving a life so short and shallow
You have the strength to hold
But a push can break your soul
Tears fall from the tip of the cone
As the heat tests what you have sown
You can stand out beyond sight
Mesmerize apart from your kind
But in the end you are all the same
A bunch of icicles for the eye to tame
