fumbling callow lovers
clumsy and all too eager,
sit in the bamboo grove-

he tries to give, the first kiss,
on her trembling lips.
prankster wind's hands
vigorously shake
the bamboos in the grove.

bamboos sing in ecstasy
pining lovers  by and by
find the shore of pleasure,
merge in that symphony.
