The Dance
Slowly we dance
You and I
Round and round we go
In a cadence of to and fro
Never seeming to take that step
The final one that forces us
to take that
Chance
A tango here
A waltz so fair
A rhumba or two
One between me and you
Our steps are sure
The space we do keep
The chance between us
We dare to not let meet
The fear we keep
In our sway of chance
Both afraid of what will happen
If we don't let fear keep the lead
A other measure has gone by
We've gotten closer
But backed away
instead of giving chance
At least one try
Paso Doble is now in swing
This chance of ours
The bull in the ring
Slowly, confidently
We stride to the center
Fear grips our minds
As we finally find each other
The chance is now ours
We take it by the horns
Fear be gone
Now love will soar
This one has a happy ending. I'm still dancing with mine. May we both one day grab that chance.
