I have a skyline of emotion-
A silhouetted city.
It’s all dark- all shapes as you
Look in.
Ups and downs, and you can’t tell
Anything apart.
Different heights and different lows-
All starting from the ground up.
It’s dark as you look in-
Look in at the silhouetted city.

But looking out,
Oh goodness that’s different.
Always looking out from the highest roof tops or the lowest of basements.
You see the colors the sun casts.
Spread over the water or over the streets,
Over the souls.
You can’t see the other buildings as you look
out
It’s where you are- looking out at the colors
Staring as it sparkles and shines-
You don’t see the darkness that you stand in-
You don’t see the whole picture.
You see only what lies outside of that window.
I have a skyline of emotion, a silhouetted city,
Looking in.
But looking out
I have a spectrum of colors,
An array of different heights,
An array of different feelings.
Looking out-
That’s all that matters.
