The ghosts, they haunt you in the night. Calling you, beckoning to you. Can you make it through to the next sunrise? Oh what I would do to be able to save you. The evil fills your body, intoxicating you. I'm intoxicated by you, but so helpless to stop the chaos.
I only seek to fill your empty void, but you give in to your monsters, consumed. I can only stand and watch. Will I ever be enough? Will you ever only want my love?
Pulsing through your veins, the transformation. Someone I don't recognize; your mind is no longer your own. Here I am left behind in this broken reality, as your soul explores the unknown. Your touch is cold to me. Who are you?
I see you drowning, but I myself have lost the ability to swim in this vast ocean you've created between us.
You long for that place that I cannot go. You're leaving me behind for that unknown. I hope you're happy as I'm killing myself watching you be engulfed by the flames of what I'll never be. You run into the fire gladly and I'm left here staring into your hollow eyes. Were you ever really mine?
