I have not known a loveliness,
As yet within my years,
That outlasted its’ predestined day,
Not predisposed to tears.
And I have not known a beauty,
That did not reach it’s prime,
Greatness always turns to ugliness,
If just but given time.
Back and forth, to and fro,
The pendulum swings always,
Good and bad, light and dark,
They each but have their days.
