Moisture
I watched the sneer
Curl up like a crinkling leaf
Into the shiny red
Of those shapely lips
They were like roses
Soft, damp and thick
Or cranberry stains
Sweet and lingering
(I could never tell which)
All I knew was
They were always
My favorite
