A tanka
Steel blades cut lush blades
Their air-borne juices recall
Energy of squirrels
Leaping fur wraps muscle; mind;
Full presence; lush unknowing.
I've started reading the tanka poems of Saigyō, translated by Burton Watson. They are beautiful indeed.
