The clichéd love

The way I love you has been described by millions, felt by billions Like a thousand burning suns… or something like that I think you’re awfully perfect. We both sleep on the same side of the bed But you always give it to me. And you don’t care When I put my cold feet on your back. And you always make up Unnecessary scenarios with me And our friends just don’t understand What we’re even talking about. One of my favorite things Is to see you look at someone else Then look back at me And I can see the fire light up in your eyes. Remember for Christmas, When we got each other the same damn stuffed alligator From four states away? And how funny is it that We love each other so much that we have the same birthday? In fact sometimes I think we share a soul. Except that mine’s a little off And yours is perfect Actually beyond perfect. And I love how you tip the waiters well Even when they’re assholes Because who knows? They could have just been having a bad day. It’s so funny to me, The things we say half asleep And other people would just die If they knew how crazy we are for each other And how crazy we’ve always been. Remember when our love when it was hidden We couldn’t even look at each other Or else they’d know And we’d say it almost killed us.
