Flying Home
In the jet plane the miles pour by
A million frozen stars decayi.
Spangled above me way up high.
As the night time melts away.
I fly across the world to you.
*The stars are as pinpricks in the sky.
The night sky pure indigo velvet blue.
I ache once more to hear your sigh.
God made the stars for the sky to hold
As he made me for you.
The moon is a candle in the night.
To forever share its light.
God made eternity for moons.
but for us he made tonight.
