A tree stands alone, rarely noticed, in a place of silence, by anyone, bar the birds.
It gets beaten by the sun in summertime.
In wintertime stripped bare.
Unnoticed, as ever.
Not a leaf left in sight, unless it is an evergreen.
A Christmas tree which features in a seasonal magazine
However: a star in it's own right.
Twinkling, welcoming.
Still standing all alone, but noticed nonetheless.
