A scream
A moan
A single creak on the rooftop
The rustle of fabric
The howl of the wind
A cricket sings a sad song of regret
Horns in the distance
A cacophony
The backdrop of living in the city
Silence
The stillness
So thick you could cut it with a knife
The jukebox
Sound of swallowing
And the stale old smell of beer
with a quick wash down the throat
