It was the shock of seeing her walls
They were still standing
And as he looked over her shoulder
She didn't have to tear them down anymore
Because he knew what she was hiding
It wasn't possible
There was supposed to be an entrance
And a small window to ask questions
Then a decision
But all that never happened
Then he said he would be right back
He had to draw on the walls of his cave
And she lived without him
Relieved that the walls remained
Then as she gazed upon them, he said something
And she turned as he wandered around
What are you doing she thought
And he said, "You alread know, I'm here for you"
But it was the cave that she wondered about
And he never would talk about it
It was not something that he could share
But all he could see were walls from the outside
Except for the one she had built
He was inside
Anytime he wanted
No matter what she said
But he kept his distance
There was so much to see while she followed
What are you doing?
He said, "I want to know who you are"
She screamed at him to leave
But he said, "I was born here. This is my home"
This was not what was supposed to happen
She was supposed to wait until her wall came down
But he was not interested in all that
It didn't matter
He was already inside her
And all she could do was gasp
Because she knew she was naked
And his eyes were looking at her body
And into her eyes
And into her past
And into her mind
And into her heart
And he was going to stay inside her
Because that was what she wanted
Even though the walls were built to say no
But she made the mistake of pushing them out too far
And into the spaces that she forgot to fill he came
To be the one
Because the one didn't need to convince her
He was just the one
