A New View Needed

by doris-cayea-brown

I cannot take it anymore Stars have nothing written Each step is less than motivated Only in dreams am I smitten Awake I do not see the sun Nor the bright colors of the world All is monochrome, neutral Neither hot nor cold Booze is taken liberally To relax a stiffened view Sets me in my dreamland Where worries are so few I know I can’t sleep forever To ignore the challenge of life But I must do something quickly To change the cycling strife
