Do you see me as someone made of steel?
Like even my heart could never feel?
If I shine would you take over like rust?
And even devour my only trust?

Sure you can kiss the ring
but don't touch the crown
I'll be at the top
so don't try pulling me down

I can't take my words back
look where I'm finally at.
We pledged for a glorious victory,
remember that?

If only you knew how many times I've died
seeing you smile when I was wrong and you were right
I'd just keep it to myself, hold it inside
Sooner we'd get into another fight.

I would never let my guard down
or walk out with a child's frown
I still got scars in the back from your knives
How do you harm like the bees on a hive?

I'd get curiouser and curiouser as time flies
on how everything becomes alright
In the end of the day and in the end of the night,
All of us still remain pliant
