I accidentally walked in front of a car
Today.
I was walking slowly,
With my head down
And forgot to watch where I was going.
"What are you, crazy?!"
The driver shouted,
After swerving to avoid me.
I stared back at him.
There he was:
An important looking man
In his brand new car
Shiny and fast
In a hurry
Because he was going somewhere.
He was going somewhere.
I stared down at my worn out shoes,
The canvas sagging with lack of purpose,
And answered him,
"Yeah, probably."
