The passion ignited
and the forest burned.
Old oaks charred,
saplings disintegrated,
devastation beyond
imagination,
a boundless, barren
desert of
scorched ground
and rancid air,
with the skeletons
of remembered beauty
standing sentry.
But who lit the match,
love or hate?
