She is bubonic
In her blue bonnet
Like a little black plague
Little rose petals
Withered corpse friends
Flushed with life’s
Last red blush
Swooning maroon
To her oncoming doom
And when I kiss her
She passes it on to me
Her disease becomes mine
My little Mary Typhoid
Dreadfully beautiful
Deadly but so lovely
With words of love
She snaps me in two
