The tree stands above me
tall.
dark.
and dangerous.
My heart starts beating faster
but I
still
grasp the first
branch.
As I start to get higher my head gets dizzy
How did you ever convince me to get up here?
The branches scratch at my face
My hands are bleeding from the twigs
Leaves slap my face
and as the wind starts to pick up
i feel the tree swaying.
I am nearly at the top
I am there.
I made it
and
then
i
jump.
And you are there to catch me.
