I was death
Flying high beyond mere existence
For what was my life other than suffering
Until I saw a rainbow form from my dark clouds
For what *** of gold could my soul live without
That a perfect circle would never conceal?

My love
Until I walked upon the shore
I never knew I'd come home
For the light I saw
Beckoned
And it told me what to do
And when I came upon you
I turned once more to the sea
And the light upon the waters was no more
As it was now shining only upon me

And the heart that held your ear close
Tried to tell you of my past
But you said I was good because I wanted love
There was no vision that I could see
Except the pain you accepted from me
You knew I had long drifted
By the way I stared back at the sea

The ways of a goodbye is to linger
And the way of love is to wait until I am ready
