Expectations
She stared me down
Her eyes harsh and vicious
And maybe just a bit fearful
"I can't give you what you're used to
I'm not experienced like the others"
"I don't have the answers you're looking for"
There was just the slightest quiver
In her softened lips
A sign of her hesitation to speak her mind
My own expression was curled into
A gentle, almost amused smile as I replied
"I'm not hard to please"
