The sky seems endless on summer days,
And the setting sun takes its time to sleep.
The stars seem brighter on summer nights,
But only with you laying next to me.

I dream a whisper in your ear,
And silences hand in hand,
I wish a glance between our eyes,
Our gazes locking longer than planned.

The dry, sun-baked grass is our bed,
To sleep on with our smiles,
And lips hardly move to whisper the words,
That I'd say to you despite the miles.
