Sitting in the shadow of the afternoon light.
Filtered by the canopy of green.
As the heat waves spiral upward into the open air.

Watching the shadows of light and dark,
As the sun makes flashing streams through the canopy above
Not moving and lightly breathing,
Listening to the earth, to hear her breath.

Silence is needed to hear her.
Her voice is soft, but don't let that fool you.
If we don't heed the warning and mend our ways,

Mother Nature will step up and unleash her rage
There's no stopping her once she is cross
So in that peaceful moment
When she speaks softly

Please take notice
Once she has spoken, she won't say it twice
She'll just demolish everything in site!!
Are we listening
