The horror show has begun.
I am the centerpiece.
More terrified,
Than the crowd around me.

Fear has found its way,
Deep within my soul.
It swims inside,
A fluidless sea.

The audience smells it,
Like hounds of hell.
Waiting for the moment,
To catch its taste.

I hear a voice and its holy say.
“Hush your mouth and close your eyes.
They are coming your way,
But do not run!”

I heed its words and embrace the abyss.
Endless darkness surrounds me.
Whilst falling in a bottomless pit,
I invite the dreary loneliness.
