The Sands Of Time

by james-greenfield

The sands of time are slipping away, The years we knew are now yesterday. Do you remember when we were young, We were just children playing in the sun. Life was so simple, we were so free, But soon life changed for you and me. We grew up and passed through our teens, We're now middle aged looking back at what we've seen. We've been through two wars, the depression as well, The death of our child which put us through hell. We've seen a lot through our many years, We've shared our lives through happiness and tears. If we had the chance to do it all over again, We'd still be here thinking of then.
