May 2015
We ushered in an era
Of technology,
And weep for the youth
Of today.
Knowledge at the touch
Of a keyboard,
With never-ending games
To play.
Pictures, so vile,
So readily available
To those with
A warped mind.
The ability to follow
The vulnerable;
To want, to hunt,
To find.
A curtain for bullies
To hide behind
And prey on the weak
And the lonely,
A place where the timid go
To find
Their one and only.
There's pros and cons
To this world of web
We live in.
But I still weep for the
Youth of today,
No more to be
Innocent children
