I look at your face
And wonder
How many of those wrinkles
Are down to me.

I look at your face
And wonder
How eyes, once so full of intelligence
Can stare so vacantly.

I look at your face
And weep silently
For a past you can't remember
And a future that will never come to pass.

I look at your face,
I look for your face,
But the wings of
Death's angel
Cast a shadow over it.
