You need to forget everything you feel
That’s why you must turn around
You are facing the wrong way
And on the wrong floor
Reading the wrong book

There are no memories that matter
That’s why you must climb the stairs
Leave your emotions behind
Walk now without before
And the years they took

You were born the way you are now
But you needed to see the horizon
It is the edge of the womb
And the reason you want more
Is because your soul finally shook

What is behind your eyes wants out
And what you have is time and reason
You must no longer be afraid
For as you wash ashore
You will know which way to look
