May 2015
Light stands guard over all.
Darkness fears its brilliance
So we have been told.
And yet, shadows permeate the world
Soaking into souls;
Spring rain into thirsty earth.
Where is the light to the mistreated,
The abused, the unloved?
Is there something more,
Some unseen purpose
to pain and hate?
Or is it all
'Just because'?
When so much can be done united,
Why does bitterness drive a wedge between
Members of the human family?
Just because.
Just an observation on the human species and all we do. It amazes me, what atrocities can be wrought, as well as what kindness.
