A mother’s love
Was abuse to some
Foolishness
She was having none
Which caused her to disciplined
Her only son
In a valiant effort
To get the job done

Better that
Than the police
Causing his
Young life to cease
Thank God she intervened
At least
Before the violence
Had increased

A mother’s love
Should be applauded
What she did
Must be lauded
And our priorities
Reordered
Instead of young blacks
Being slaughtered

A mother’s love
Can’t be questioned
Instead it should serve
As a lesson
For her son
It was a blessing
So let’s stop
Second guessing

A Mother's Love was inspired by the actions of a Baltimore single mother who snatched her son from a crowd of rebellious youth, during the Baltimore riot.
